What are your thoughts on advertising specifically on facebook? I know that you can boost your posts so that more people see them but does it actually bring in potential customers or does it just waste clicks?

We sell clothes on Facebook. For us, it’s great because we can find all kinds of customers there easily and Facebook is able to generate customer lists for us that look like our existing customers from an interest perspective. I can see there this would not be applicable to many businesses, but it definitely has worked for us.

Facebook is a great way to grow your audience, I find that when you promote on there you tend to get a good amount of business. Also, it is a good way to talk to your customers.

I think Facebook is a great, inexpensive way to advertise to customers. Facebook allows you to advertise to certain groups of people, so if you know who your audience is, you can specifically advertise to those individuals. Boosting posts is a great way to get your name out there and increase brand awareness. Although you may not get a ton of conversions (because it’s reaching a wider audience), your company will still gain brand awareness and grow your audience.

Facebook ad’s work in different ways. You choose your campaign goals- engagement, website clicks, etc. so depending on what your goals are you can set up ad’s that will focus on your goals. Decide what you want your traffic to do and where you want them to go- fan page, website, affiliate offer or bridge page, then you choose your targeting based on your goals and who would be interested in your offer, create your image or video, write your copy and place your creative into your ad and pay for the ad, it will go live after it is approved by Facebook!

Thanks Akshay, I understand how it works but I really want to know if it is worth spending my money on. You can spend a lot just advertising but does that actually bring in potential customers. I want to know if it is worth the investment in the long run.
