I’m wondering if anyone out there has had any luck buying web traffic. Do those sellers really have something to sell, or do they just make their money off people who don’t know any better? Are there any reputable places from which to buy real traffic?
They make their money off people who don’t know any better. There’s no such thing as someone with a repository or library of ready to go web traffic to sell. People look for stuff when they need it. They aren’t sitting on a shelf waiting for the command to buy, no matter how much money you pay for the service.
You can buy traffic but honestly it won’t bring you real customers. I agree with Klien that people will find your service when they are looking for it, buying traffic is just a waste of money in my eyes.
The exception is buying traffic from google or a search engine where there’s actual intent on the part of the buyer, or review sites (of which there are many) where the buyer is looking for a specific product. Beware of buying traffic from ANY LOCATION OR SELLER where you don’t know exactly how that traffic finds your site. If the seller can’t show you the web site (and it better be popular) then you’re buying dubious traffic that probably had no intent on buying from you and you’ll end up just handing your money away. BUYER BEWARE.
We looked into buying traffic for our site but ended up going against it. Sometimes google can tell when the clicks aren’t organic and we got scared that it might effect us badly in the end. I would honestly recommend against it after the things that I read so as Simon say buyer beware.
You have to be careful when you try to buy traffic because just because you are getting clicks doesn’t mean you are getting quality clicks, You don’t want to waste your money getting a whole bunch of spam clicks then realize $100’s later you are out money. Make sure that if you do it you are very particular and that you have done your research first.
